Trump Appoints Massad Boulos as Senior Adviser on Arab and Middle East Affairs

President-elect Donald Trump has named Massad Boulos, a Lebanese billionaire and father-in-law of his daughter Tiffany Trump, as his Senior Adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs.

Trump praised Boulos as a skilled lawyer and a respected business leader with vast international experience. He also emphasized Boulos’ strong support for Republican and Conservative values, as well as his crucial role in building connections with the Arab American community during the campaign.

“I am proud to announce that Massad Boulos will serve as Senior Adviser to the President on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs. Massad is an accomplished lawyer and a highly respected business leader with extensive international experience,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “He has long supported Republican and Conservative values, was a key asset to my campaign, and played a major role in forming valuable alliances with the Arab American community. Massad is a skilled dealmaker and a steadfast supporter of peace in the Middle East. He will be a strong advocate for the United States and its interests, and I am thrilled to have him on the team!”

Boulos’ appointment follows a pattern of family ties in Trump’s administration, as seen with the nomination of Charles Kushner, the father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, as ambassador to France. While Jared and Ivanka Trump held prominent roles in the first term, they are not expected to return for Trump’s second term, according to The Hill.

Massad Boulos is the father of Michael Boulos, who married Tiffany Trump, Trump’s youngest daughter, in 2022. He leads the family-owned automotive company, SCOA Nigeria. Boulos is particularly known for his efforts in Michigan, where he played a key role in helping Trump secure support from Arab American voters, contributing to the president-elect’s victory in the state.

Boulos’ new role will likely be crucial in shaping Trump’s Middle East policies, especially in light of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza, which intensified after the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel.
