EFCC Arrests 22 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Abia State

Operatives from the Uyo Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 22 suspected internet fraudsters in Abia State. The arrests took place on Friday, December 6, 2024, in a sting operation at Umuagu and Olokoro.

The EFCC operatives recovered several items from the suspects, including six exotic cars, eight laptops, and 36 mobile phones, which are believed to have been used in their fraudulent activities.

The suspects are currently under investigation, and they will be charged to court once the investigations are completed.
