NAFDAC Recalls Deekins Amoxycillin Capsule Batch
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has announced the recall of one batch of Deekins Amoxycillin 500mg Capsules. The recall, made public in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, pertains to the batch with lot number 4C639001.
The batch, manufactured by Eco-med Pharma Ltd and marketed by DevineKings Pharmaceutical Ltd, is being recalled following reports of serious adverse drug reactions. According to Eco-med Pharma Ltd, a hospital reported three cases of severe reactions in patients who were administered capsules from this batch.
NAFDAC has advised the public of the recall and emphasized that the affected batch should not be used. The agency is urging consumers and healthcare providers to take appropriate action.
