Ebonyi Workers to Receive ₦150,000 Christmas Bonus
Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has announced a Christmas bonus of ₦150,000 for each state worker. This announcement was made via a Facebook post by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, on Thursday.
The bonus will be paid to all workers in the state’s service before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. This gesture reflects Governor Nwifuru’s ongoing commitment to improving the welfare of workers, as he continues to prioritize their well-being.
The bonus amount represents an increase from last year’s ₦100,000 Christmas bonus, highlighting the governor’s effort to further enhance the financial benefits for state workers.
Additionally, the state government has fully implemented the new minimum wage act, with Ebonyi workers now earning above the standard ₦70,000 minimum wage, including an additional ₦5,000. This move underscores the government’s consistent efforts to improve the economic conditions of workers in the state.
