Troops Destroy Lakurawa Camps in Sokoto and Kebbi, Recover Arms

The Special Brigade of the Nigerian Army, deployed by Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Christopher Musa, has successfully neutralized several members of the Lakurawa sect operating in the Sokoto and Kebbi States areas. The operation was part of the ongoing Operation Fansan Yamma aimed at eliminating terror threats in these regions.

  • 22 camps of the Lakurawa terrorists were destroyed across the two states.
  • Arms and ammunition recovered included four rifles, 409 PKT 7.62mm NATO rounds, and 94 x 7.62mm special rounds.
