Tinubu Appoints Eight New Permanent Secretaries
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed eight new permanent secretaries in the federal civil service to address existing and anticipated vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones.
This announcement was made through a statement by the presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga. The appointments mark the second batch under Tinubu’s administration, following the initial appointments in June 2024, which included representatives from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, and Zamfara States, as well as the South East and South-South regions.
The selection process, overseen by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, ensured a thorough and diligent assessment of candidates.
Newly Appointed Permanent Secretaries
The newly appointed officials are:
- Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu – Abia State
- Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip – Bayelsa State
- Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia – Ebonyi State
- Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam – Enugu State
- Kalba Danjuma Usman – Gombe State
- Usman Salihu Aminu – Kebbi State
- Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso – Rivers State
- Nadungu Gagare – Kaduna State
