88 Exhibitors Participate In Kwara Trade Fair As Adeyemi Woos Investors
A total of 88 exhibitors from various industries across Nigeria participated in the week-long trade fair organized by the Kwara Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KWACCIMA) in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The trade fair, held at the Ilorin Township Stadium, commenced on December 11, 2024, and concluded on December 16, 2024. It featured diverse offerings from electronics, fashion items, food products, and agricultural inputs, drawing significant attention from visitors and potential customers.
The event also included interactive sessions where industry experts shared insights on trends and innovations. Attendees enjoyed additional attractions such as talent hunts, live music performances, and cultural displays.
Key Highlights
At the opening ceremony, KWACCIMA President, Mrs. Ronke Adeyemi (SAN), called on Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to provide alternative marketplaces for business owners displaced by ongoing urban renewal projects in Ilorin.
Adeyemi also addressed the challenges posed by rising fuel and electricity costs, emphasizing the need for innovative solutions:
“These hard times force us to think outside the box, not only in managing resources effectively but also in developing new business ideas to improve our lives as a people.”
During the closing ceremony, Engr. Abu Salami, First Deputy President of KWACCIMA and Chairman of the Trade Fair Organizing Committee, praised the resilience of the exhibitors and expressed satisfaction with the event’s success.
“We look forward to building on this momentum and making next year’s event even bigger and better,” he said.
Mrs. Adeyemi commended Governor AbdulRazaq for fostering a conducive environment for private sector growth. She highlighted the positive economic impact of the trade fair, noting that many exhibitors reported substantial sales and promising business leads.
Adeyemi also encouraged investors to explore the opportunities in Kwara State:
“Kwara is uniquely endowed with human, natural, and agricultural resources. Strategically located in central Nigeria, the state offers ideal weather conditions for diverse agricultural products.”
The successful event is expected to further position Kwara State as a vibrant hub for commerce and investment.
