PICTORIAL: Lagos Gov’t Donates 250 Brand New Patrol Vehicles To Police
In a major move to enhance security operations, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated over 250 brand new patrol vehicles, along with essential hardware, communication devices, and protective gear, to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
The donation was officially presented during the State’s Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security on Thursday, an event attended by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, and other high-ranking officials from the Lagos State government.
Governor Sanwo-Olu later shared the news on his verified Facebook page, highlighting the importance of security for maintaining economic stability and the safety of communities. He reaffirmed that security is a top priority for his administration.
Sanwo-Olu wrote: “Today, at our 18th Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security, I handed over 250 brand new patrol vehicles, along with essential hardware, communication devices, and protective gear, to our dedicated police force. This initiative represents a significant advancement in our efforts to strengthen security operations throughout Lagos State.”
He added, “Security is vital for maintaining economic stability and community safety, and it remains a top priority for us in Lagos. We are steadfast in our commitment to enhancing safety for all Lagosians.”
The governor also expressed gratitude to private sector partners for their continued support of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) in its mission to ensure the safety and security of Lagos.
