NSCDC Deploys 3,542 Operatives for Yuletide Season in Kano

The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has mobilized 3,542 operatives to ensure safety and security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

According to Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Command’s spokesperson, officers have been drawn from the 44 divisional offices, as well as various departments and units, including undercover personnel. This extensive deployment aims to provide security at Christian worship centres, recreational areas, and other strategic locations across the state.

Key Deployment Measures:

  1. Traffic Management:
    • Operatives will collaborate with sister traffic enforcement agencies to ensure seamless traffic flow during the festive period.
  2. Critical Infrastructure Protection:
    • A 24-hour surveillance system is in place to safeguard critical infrastructure and prevent vandalism or sabotage.
  3. Law Enforcement:
    • The Command warned miscreants against disrupting public peace, emphasizing that offenders would face strict legal consequences.

The NSCDC has reassured residents of Kano State of its commitment to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment throughout the celebrations.
