Pere of Kabowei Kingdom, Others Attend Olu of Warri’s Royal Iwere Christmas Carol

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, and his queen, Olori Atuwatse III, hosted the Royal Iwere Christmas Carol Concert on Saturday at Aghofen, the palace of the Olu of Warri Kingdom in Delta State.

The event, part of a series of activities aimed at promoting Warri Kingdom, offered a spectacular showcase of culture, spirituality, and celebration.

Highlights of the Evening

The Royal Iwere Choir stole the spotlight, captivating attendees with soulful Christmas carols rendered in both Itsekiri and English. Their performance, complemented by white and red robes symbolizing Christmas and the royal colors of Warri Kingdom, added grandeur to the event. Many guests also donned outfits in the same colors, embracing the spirit of the occasion.

His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, and Olori Atuwatse III, made a majestic entrance to a standing ovation from guests. In his address, Ogiame offered prayers for peace in the kingdom and urged everyone to reflect on the true essence of Christmas, beyond the festivities.

Distinguished Attendees

Among the prominent figures present was His Royal Majesty, Barr. Peremobowei Shedrack Erebulu, Aduo III, the Pere of Kabowei Kingdom, who attended the concert as part of the 2024 Ghigho Aghofen festivities.

Adding a touch of contemporary entertainment, Kinsley Oritsetimeyin Sule, popularly known as KellyRae and the winner of the 9th edition of Big Brother Naija, performed, thrilling the audience and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the night.
