Governors Mourn Mother of Jigawa Gov
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Maryam Namadi-Umar, mother of Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi.
In a statement signed by its chairman, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, the Forum extended heartfelt condolences to Governor Namadi, his family, and the people of Jigawa State.
“We urge His Excellency and the people of the state to be consoled by the fine legacies of Hajiya Maryam, who was a great servant of God and lover of humanity,” the statement read.
The NGF prayed for divine blessings upon the deceased, saying, “We ask Allaah to ease the account of Mama, widen and illuminate her grave, admit her to Al-jannah Firdaus, and uphold the family upon goodness.”
The Forum also encouraged the Namadi family to draw strength from the virtues and positive impact of Hajiya Maryam’s life.
