JUST-IN: Jigawa Gov Namadi Loses Mother

Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar, the mother of Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, has passed away.

The announcement was made by the governor through his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Hamisu Gumel, in a statement released on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

Hajiya Maryam died in the early hours of Wednesday, and her burial rites will be held the same day at 4:30 PM in her hometown of Kafin Hausa Local Government Area, following Islamic traditions.

Governor Namadi and his family have requested prayers for her soul, asking for Allah’s (SWT) mercy to grant her eternal rest in Jannah and comfort the family during this time of grief.
