Kwara Gov’s Chief Of Staff, Prince Mahe, Dies
The Chief of Staff to Kwara State Governor, Prince AbdulKadir Mahe, has passed away. He died on Saturday morning, December 28, 2024.
Prince Mahe, a Prince of Ilorin Emirate and a retired permanent secretary, was a well-respected community leader and public servant. A family source confirmed that he would be buried later that day at his Adewole Estate residence in Ilorin, with the burial set to take place at 4 p.m. following the Asr prayer.
A statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, confirmed the death, expressing deep sorrow at the loss. The statement noted that the death of Prince Mahe was in full submission to Allaah’s will, describing him as a “perfect gentleman, community leader, urbane public servant, and statesman.”
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq mourned the passing of Prince Mahe and sent condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, as well as to the deceased’s immediate family, government establishments, and cabinet members. The Governor asked for understanding during this mourning period and prayed for Allaah’s mercy, asking that the late Chief of Staff be granted eternal peace in al-Jannah Firdaus.
