JUST-IN: 16 Residents Kidnapped In Kaduna Village

At least 16 residents have been abducted from Mararraba Mazuga village in the Kachia local government area of Kaduna State. The attack occurred between 11pm on Thursday and 12 midnight on Friday.

A local resident, Wayas Musa, revealed that two of the kidnapped individuals managed to escape, while seven others were later released by the abductors. These freed victims were sent to collect ransom money for the remaining captives.

Na’omi Kayit, one of the released victims, reportedly shared that two of her daughters were still in the hands of the kidnappers. One daughter is a student at ABU Zaria, and the other is a scholarship recipient in Togo, who is currently in Nigeria for a break.

As of the time of the report, the kidnappers had not yet contacted the victims’ families to demand ransom. Efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Command for comment, including the Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Munsir Hassan, were unsuccessful as his phone was unreachable.
