JUST-IN: Abducted EYN Pastors Regain Freedom in Adamawa

Two pastors from the Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa A Nigeria (EYN), Rev. James Kwayang and his Secretary, Rev. Ishaku Chiwar, have been released after being abducted in Adamawa State.

The president of the EYN Church, Rev. Dr. Daniel Mbaya, confirmed their release on Sunday through the church’s Media and Communication office. The pastors were kidnapped a week earlier in the Malabu area of Fufore Local Government Area.

Details about whether a ransom was paid for their release remain unclear as of this report.

The church’s Media and Communication Officer, Mr. Mbursa Jinatu, stated that Rev. Mbaya expressed gratitude for the support and prayers of the church community during the pastors’ ordeal. He also emphasized the power of collective prayer in ensuring their safe return, urging continued prayers for the nation’s protection and guidance.

The police have not yet issued any official comment on the release, and efforts to reach the state command have been unsuccessful.
