Container-laden Truck Crushes 3 to Death in Ogbomoso

A tragic motor accident occurred on Tuesday morning at Takie Roundabout in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, where three people, including two women, were killed. The accident involved a container-laden truck that lost control and overturned, landing on a commercial tricycle, commonly known as ‘Keke NAPEP,’ and crushing its three occupants.

The incident took place around 9:30 a.m., causing widespread shock in the area. Eyewitnesses reported that the truck lost control while negotiating a bend near the roundabout, resulting in the container falling onto the tricycle. Tragically, the tricycle operator and two female passengers were trapped beneath the container.

Despite efforts to rescue them, all three individuals were confirmed dead at the scene. Authorities are currently working to remove the container from the road to allow for the smooth flow of traffic. Motorists in the area have been advised to proceed with caution.
