Gov. Radda Announces Minor Cabinet Reshuffle to Strengthen Administration
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has announced a minor reshuffle of his cabinet as part of efforts to bolster his administration’s Building Your Future agenda.
The reshuffle, which was outlined in a statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula, aims to enhance the performance of key ministries and improve service delivery to the people of Katsina State.
One of the key changes is the appointment of Alhaji Malik Anas as the new Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning. Anas, who holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano, brings extensive experience to the role. He previously served as the Accountant-General of Katsina State and is an active member of professional organizations, including the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
In other adjustments, the outgoing Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Bello Kagara, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance. Meanwhile, Bashir Tanimu Gambo, who previously headed the Ministry of Finance, will now oversee the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
Yusuf Rabi’u Jirdede has been moved from the Ministry of Special Duties to lead the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, and Investment. Adnan Nahabu has taken over Jirdede’s previous position at the Ministry of Special Duties.
Governor Radda expressed confidence in the abilities of the newly appointed and reassigned commissioners, urging them to strive for excellence and align their work with the administration’s vision for Katsina’s progress. He emphasized the need for them to intensify efforts in serving the people of the state.
