Kano Local Government Chairman Appoints 60 Aides to Boost Governance

Yusuf Imam, the chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area in Kano State, widely known as ‘Ogan Boye,’ has announced the appointment of 60 aides to serve in various roles within the council. The appointments, aimed at enhancing governance and promoting development, were made official in a letter dated January 6, 2024, and signed by the Local Government Secretary, Ado Muhd Hotoro.

The letter highlighted that the appointments are part of Imam’s ongoing efforts to improve governance and drive progress within the local government area. “In line with the Honourable Chairman’s commitment to advancing the development of Nasarawa Local Government, I hereby convey the approval for the appointment of these distinguished individuals to various positions across multiple sectors,” the letter read.

Among the newly appointed individuals are 18 Special Reporters, who will oversee various departments, markets, and primary healthcare centers. Additionally, other key roles have been filled, including Executive Assistant, Chief Protocol Officer, Chief Details Affairs I and II, Principal Personnel Secretary, and eight Director Generals, among others.

The letter stressed that the appointments were made based on merit, dedication, honesty, and a commitment to the chairman’s vision of effective and accountable governance.

Chairman Imam expressed his confidence in the abilities of the appointees and urged them to carry out their responsibilities with diligence and dedication to furthering the development goals of the local government area.
