Troops Kill Notorious Bandit Leader Baƙo Baƙo in Katsina
In a well-coordinated and strategic operation, combined security forces have eliminated notorious bandit kingpin Baƙo Baƙo and several members of his gang in the forests of Batsari Local Government Area, Katsina State.
The operation, which took place in the evening, involved personnel from the Nigerian Army, Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CWC). Baƙo Baƙo, notorious for orchestrating violent attacks, kidnappings, and terrorizing communities across Katsina, had long been a primary target for security forces. His death marks a major milestone in the fight against banditry in the region.
According to security sources, the operation was carried out with precision. Troops infiltrated the bandits’ stronghold under the cover of dusk and engaged in a fierce gunfight, ultimately overpowering Baƙo Baƙo and his gang with superior firepower and tactical expertise.
The operation has provided much-needed relief to residents of Batsari LGA, who expressed deep gratitude to the security forces for their bravery and commitment.
