Kogi Gov’t Denies Recruitment In Health Ministry

The Kogi State Ministry of Health has dismissed rumors circulating about the recruitment of personnel by the State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) and the State Specialist Hospital. The Ministry clarified that these claims are unfounded and urged the public to disregard them.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Dorothy Onoja, on behalf of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adeiza, it was stated that neither the HMB nor the State Specialist Hospital is currently engaged in any recruitment activities. The statement emphasized that these rumors are completely false and warned the public to avoid falling victim to individuals claiming to offer employment opportunities for a fee.

The Ministry stressed that no government official will ever demand payment for job opportunities, urging the public to be cautious when approached by such individuals. For accurate information regarding job openings within the Kogi State Hospitals Management Board or the State Specialist Hospital, the Ministry advised individuals to consult the official websites or directly contact the relevant authorities.

The statement further assured that if recruitment becomes necessary, official announcements would be made after the government’s approval, and such information would be communicated to the public. It also encouraged job seekers to explore reputable job boards for healthcare vacancies while reminding them to verify the legitimacy of job postings and avoid making any payments for potential employment opportunities.

For further inquiries, the Ministry encouraged members of the public to reach out to the appropriate authorities for clarification.
