Tinubu Arrives in Abu Dhabi for Sustainability Week

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), to participate in the 2025 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025).

Upon his arrival at 2:14 AM local time, President Tinubu was received by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

At the ADSW summit, themed “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” President Tinubu will highlight his administration’s efforts and ongoing reforms aimed at promoting energy sufficiency, modernizing transportation, improving public health, and fostering economic development. His participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to tackling global challenges through sustainable, collaborative solutions.

During the event, President Tinubu and his delegation will also engage in bilateral discussions with the UAE leadership to explore ways of strengthening bilateral ties and mutual interests.

Accompanying the President are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other senior government officials.

ADSW 2025 will bring together global business leaders and civil society representatives to explore innovative strategies for accelerating sustainable development. The summit, which has been a vital international collaboration platform for over 15 years, is known for facilitating high-value agreements and partnerships that drive clean energy innovation and global socio-economic progress.

President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16.
