Tinubu Celebrates Former First Bank Chairman, Hassan-Odukale, on His 60th Birthday
President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale, the former CEO of Leadway Assurance and former chairman of First Bank, as he marks his 60th birthday.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Mr. Hassan-Odukale for his immense contributions to the growth and stability of key sectors such as insurance, asset management, banking, and information technology.

Hassan-Odukale’s strong academic background and professional accomplishments, including his graduation from the University of London and City University, London, where he earned a degree in Pure Mathematics and a diploma in Actuarial Science, have earned him respect as a member of the Royal Society of Mathematics and the Pensions Management Institute. His advanced studies, including the Lagos Business School’s Advanced Management Programme, have further sharpened his leadership skills.
From his time as managing director at Leadway Assurance to his tenure as chairman of First Bank and other prestigious institutions, Mr. Hassan-Odukale has played a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s financial and investment sectors. His influence extends beyond corporate governance, with active involvement in strategic initiatives and portfolio management.
