Man Drowns While Fetching Water in Kano Puddle

Tragedy struck in Kunture town, Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State, when 30-year-old Rabiu Sani lost his life after falling into a puddle while fetching water.

According to a statement from the Kano State Fire Service’s Public Relations Officer, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the agency received an emergency call at approximately 9:57 AM from a police officer, Silas Munkhaila, reporting the incident. The rescue team quickly mobilized and arrived at the scene by 10:15 AM.

Upon arrival, the team found the victim unconscious in the water. Despite their efforts to save him, Rabiu Sani was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was then handed over to the Ward Head of Kunture town, Uba Abdulkadir.

Initial investigations suggest that the victim slipped while attempting to fetch water, leading to the fatal accident.
