Hamas Rejects Trump’s Proposal to Relocate Palestinians
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has firmly rejected a proposal by former U.S. President Donald Trump to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan.
In a statement issued on Monday, Hamas condemned the plan as an “aggressive scheme” aimed at displacing Palestinians and undermining their national cause. The movement emphasized that the Palestinian people, who have faced genocide and forced displacement by the Israeli occupation, particularly in northern Gaza, remain steadfast in their commitment to their land and historical rights.
“The Palestinians will never accept any plan that seeks to uproot or displace them,” Hamas declared.
The group also called on the U.S. administration to halt its support for Israeli policies that violate Palestinian rights and urged Arab and Islamic nations, particularly Egypt and Jordan, to reaffirm their opposition to the displacement of Palestinians. They stressed the importance of supporting efforts to rebuild Gaza and strengthen Palestinian presence on their land.
