Perm Sec, 5 Others Arrested Over Alleged N136m Fraud In Katsina
The Katsina State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested six individuals, including the former Permanent Secretary of the Department of Banking and Finance and the current Permanent Secretary of the State’s Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Muheeb Ibrahim Bamidele, in connection with an alleged N136 million fraud.
A brief statement signed by the Commission’s Secretary, Jamilu M. Abdulsalam, on Tuesday confirmed that the arrest was linked to the suspected misappropriation of N136,126,970 from the Department’s account.
The Commission has launched an investigation into the matter to uncover the full details of the alleged fraud and ensure accountability.
