CBN Announces New Date for February MPC

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced a revised schedule for its 299th meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), which was originally set for February 17 and 18, 2025. The meeting will now take place on Wednesday, February 18, and Thursday, February 19, 2025.

This change was disclosed in a statement by the CBN on Monday, ending speculations about the dates for the meeting, especially following delays in the release of the rebased Consumer Price Index (CPI) by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

With the new dates confirmed, economic analysts and market observers are now closely monitoring the upcoming MPC meeting, particularly regarding potential decisions on the monetary policy rate (MPR).
