Mudiame University Partners with Sweden’s University West to Offer International Internship and Exchange Programmes for Nigerian Students
Mudiame University, a private Nigerian institution, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University West in Sweden to create opportunities for Nigerian students to participate in international internships and exchange programmes in Sweden.
The MoU, signed in Sweden, will facilitate the exchange of academic and administrative staff, as well as students, to promote knowledge transfer, cultural exchange, and collaborative research. The partnership will also support the exchange of academic materials, publications, and research data to enhance access to educational resources and foster scientific and technological progress.
The Department of Engineering Science at University West and Mudiame University formalized the partnership in recognition of their shared commitment to advancing education and research.
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration rooted in equality, reciprocity, and academic excellence.
The MoU was signed by Professor Per Nylén, Dean of Engineering Science at University West, and Professor Sunny Eromosele, Chancellor of Mudiame University.
The partnership will also extend to library and auxiliary services, improving resource availability for students and faculty. Both universities are committed to seeking financial support from national and international organizations to strengthen the collaboration.
According to the MoU, all research findings and data produced from the partnership will be shared jointly between the institutions.
The agreement is set to remain in effect for five years from the date of signing.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Professor Eromosele expressed, “This partnership is a significant milestone for Mudiame University in advancing research and academic excellence. Collaborating with University West will open doors for our students and faculty to engage with global academic networks and groundbreaking research.”
This collaboration is expected to enhance the academic ties between Nigeria and Sweden, laying the foundation for future partnerships in engineering, science, and technology.
