Gov Bago Appoints Chair, Commissioners For Niger Electoral Commission

Governor Mohammed Bago has approved the appointment of the Chairman and seven permanent commissioners for the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission (NSIEC).

Engr. Mohammed Imam will serve as the Chairman of the Commission while Barr. M.A. Liman has been named as Permanent Commissioner I, Nasiru Ubandiya, Permanent Commissioner II; and Yahaya Idris Abara as Permanent Commissioner III.

Others are, Capt. Mohammed Baro, Permanent Commissioner IV; Kabiru Tanko Zama, Permanent Commissioner V; Barr. Amina Guar, Permanent Commissioner VI; and Barr. Ahmed Borgu as Permanent Commissioner VII.

The appointments, according sources, were made in preparation for local government elections coming up in the state later in the year..
