Gov Eno Threatens To Sack Commissioner, Special Adviser Nominee Who Celebrate Appointment In Uyo

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has directed security agencies to ensure that none of the 27 commissioner or special adviser nominees celebrate their appointments in Uyo, the state capital.

The governor issued a strong warning that any appointee found violating this order would have their name dropped from the list of nominees within 24 hours.

Instead of celebrating in the capital, Governor Eno instructed the nominees to go back to their respective local government areas and celebrate their nominations with their communities.

He further directed the Director of Security to monitor compliance with this order and report any nominee who holds their celebration in Uyo for immediate disciplinary action.

Governor Eno emphasized that the directive was intended to strengthen the connection between the appointees and the grassroots. He stated, β€œAny nominee, except those from Uyo, who disregards this directive and celebrates in the capital will be sacked within 24 hours.” The order was issued during the inauguration of the Bureau of Statistics Board and the Labour and Industrial Committee at the Government House in Uyo on Thursday.
