Tinubu Celebrates Ex-Kaduna Governor El-Rufai on 65th Birthday

President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai as he marks his 65th birthday.

El-Rufai, a prominent administrator, scholar, and politician, is a founding member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and is widely respected for his resourcefulness and intellectual prowess. He served as governor of Kaduna State for eight years, and before his tenure in elected office, he was the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from 2003 to 2007.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday, President Tinubu celebrated El-Rufai for his valuable contributions to democracy, his exemplary service to the nation, and his mentorship of younger generations.

The President also recognized El-Rufai’s pivotal role in the discussions that led to the creation of the APC, as well as his significant impact on the party’s success in the 2015, 2019, and 2023 general elections.

Tinubu wished Mallam El-Rufai continued good health and strength for his ongoing service to the country.
