Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects in Enugu
Officers from the 9th Mile Division of the Enugu State Police Command have apprehended two male suspects involved in an armed robbery case.
The suspects, Chime Valentine Chidiebere and Alior Jideofor Kenechukwu, were arrested on February 6, 2025, based on reliable intelligence.
During the arrest, police recovered a Daylong motorcycle, allegedly stolen from the victim, along with three locally made guns and two live cartridges.
Preliminary investigations revealed that on January 5, 2025, the suspects took a commercial motorcycle from Okwojo Ngwo to Amokwe Ngwo, both in the Udi local government area of Enugu. En route, they shot the rider in the left thigh and fled with the motorcycle.
Thanks to strategic intelligence, the police tracked down and arrested the suspects, recovering the stolen motorcycle, firearms, and ammunition.
The victim, who was injured in the attack, is now recovering from the gunshot wound.
The police also confirmed that investigations are ongoing to capture additional accomplices still at large. The two arrested suspects will be charged once the investigation is completed.
