Ondo Is Open For Business, Says Governor Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has expressed the state’s readiness to partner with investors who are interested in transforming its natural resources into economic assets. The goal, he stated, is to create jobs, boost state revenue, and improve the quality of life for Ondo residents.

Governor Aiyedatiwa made this announcement during a press conference at Araromi Seaside in Ilaje Local Government Area, where he unveiled his administration’s seven-point agenda titled ‘Our Ease.’ This agenda will guide his governance over the next four years, with a focus on expanding the state’s tourism and investment prospects.

According to Aiyedatiwa, his administration aims to drive holistic development across all sectors of the economy. The visit to Araromi Seaside was meant to highlight the area’s vast economic potential, and the governor revealed that several investors have already shown interest in these opportunities.

He explained that the location of Araromi Seaside, only 45 minutes from Lagos, makes it strategically important. With the ongoing development of the coastal highway, the area’s accessibility is expected to improve significantly, further boosting tourism.

Aiyedatiwa also mentioned that businesses such as La Campagne Tropicana are already in discussions with the government about potential partnerships, which will be formalized in the coming months. He emphasized that the availability of boats in the region would make access to the area seamless, opening doors for economic growth and job creation.

The Governor also addressed the delayed deep sea port project in Ondo, which had received approval from former President Muhammadu Buhari. He explained that an error in the initial approval process caused a setback, but assured that progress is being made. He has engaged with international investors to ensure the realization of the Ondo State Deep Sea Port.

Aiyedatiwa’s administration will focus on various sectors as part of its development agenda, which includes improving security, advancing agriculture, promoting technology and industrialization, ensuring healthcare and welfare, providing adequate power, and fostering tourism and education.

In his remarks, the Alara of Araromi Kingdom, Oba Adeoloye Olawole, expressed his gratitude for the governor’s attention to the region’s development. He particularly appreciated the award of two intra-town road projects in the area, highlighting the potential of Araromi Seaside as an economic hub with opportunities for growth, education, and collaboration with the state government.

Governor Aiyedatiwa concluded by reiterating that Ondo State is open for business and ready to partner with both local and international investors to unlock its full potential.
