BREAKING: Aiyedatiwa Sworn In As Ondo Gov

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has officially been sworn in as the governor of Ondo State, marking the start of his first full four-year term. This follows the tragic death of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in December 2023, which led to Aiyedatiwa stepping in.

The inauguration ceremony is currently taking place at the Ondo State Sports Complex in Akure, the state capital, on Monday. This event comes two months after Aiyedatiwa secured a victory in the governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Aiyedatiwa took the oath of office shortly after his running mate, Olayide Adelami, around 12:59 pm.

Following the oath-taking, the governor rode around the complex in an open van, waving to the excited supporters gathered at the venue.

Governor Aiyedatiwa is currently addressing the crowd.
