El-Rufai: I Want Another Southerner to Succeed Tinubu in 2027
Hints at Uncertainty Over Remaining in APC
Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed his desire for another southerner to replace President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
El-Rufai made this statement on Tuesday night during an appearance on Arise News Channel’s PrimeTime show.
The embattled All Progressives Congress (APC) leader also revealed his uncertainty about remaining in the party until 2027.
Addressing concerns over President Tinubu’s appointments, El-Rufai noted that the President was favoring his allies, or “boys,” in the appointments, rather than focusing on promoting the interests of the Yoruba people.
