Police Arrest Suspect Over Tricycle, Phone Theft In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested one Usman Abubakar, a suspected member of a notorious criminal group known as the “Shila” boys, for robbery in Mubi-North local government area.

According to the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Danwambo Morris, Abubakar, who is from Shuware Ward in Mubi-North, was apprehended following a report filed by one Hadiza Atiku of Wuro Harde Ward.

Atiku accused Abubakar of physically assaulting her and forcefully stealing her Infinix WOD 9 mobile phone while armed with scissors. The suspect also allegedly stabbed her in the face, causing grievous injuries.

Upon receiving the report, officers from the Mubi North Divisional Police headquarters promptly responded, leading to the suspect’s arrest. Police recovered several stolen items from Abubakar, including a tricycle, the Infinix phone, and scissors.

Abubakar is currently in police custody and is assisting with the ongoing investigation. He will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
