BREAKING: Tinubu Signs Record N54.99trn 2025 Budget Into Law
President Bola Tinubu has officially signed the N54.99 trillion 2025 budget into law in a ceremony held at the State House, Abuja, on Friday afternoon.
The National Assembly had passed the budget on February 13, increasing the originally proposed amount from N49.7 trillion to N54.99 trillion.
This new budget is nearly double the N27.5 trillion approved for 2024, representing a 99.96% increase.
Key allocations within the 2025 budget include:
- ₦3.65 trillion for statutory transfers,
- ₦13.64 trillion for recurrent (non-debt) expenditure,
- ₦23.96 trillion for capital projects,
- ₦14.32 trillion for debt servicing.
The fiscal deficit is projected at 1.52% of GDP.
