Passengers Face Flight Delay As Multiple Bird Strikes Hit Air Peace Aircraft
Air Peace Airlines has informed passengers to expect flight disruptions after three separate bird strike incidents occurred within 24 hours on Friday.
In a statement released by the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, the airline confirmed the incidents, emphasizing that it has initiated the necessary inspections and maintenance procedures to ensure the affected aircraft meet safety standards before being returned to service.
According to the statement, the first bird strike took place on Thursday, which required the flight to return. On Friday morning, two more aircraft were struck by birds, leading to their grounding for safety checks and essential maintenance.
As a safety-conscious airline, Air Peace assured that passenger and crew safety remain its top priority. The airline is currently carrying out the required maintenance on the affected aircraft to ensure they meet the highest safety standards before flying again.
“We sincerely apologize to our esteemed customers for the inconvenience these disruptions may cause to their travel plans. While we work to resolve the situation as swiftly as possible, we kindly seek your patience and understanding. Our team is actively reaching out to affected passengers to provide necessary assistance, including rescheduling and alternative travel arrangements where possible,” Ndiulo stated.
