Makinde Welcomes Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio to Oyo State

 

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, welcomed the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, to Ibadan on Monday.

President Bio arrived at the Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan around 4 p.m., where he was warmly received by Governor Makinde. Earlier that day, the Sierra Leonean president had been welcomed by Nigerian President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.

During his visit to Oyo State, President Bio was scheduled to tour the Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub in Oyo Town.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Governor Makinde expressed his pleasure at hosting President Bio and his delegation.

“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Oyo State, I welcome President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone and his team to Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State,” Makinde said.

He continued, “During this visit, Mr. President and his team will experience the rich history and heritage of Oyo State, which is rightfully known as the Pacesetter. They will also witness some of the groundbreaking developments that our government has put in place, including the well-regarded Fasola Agribusiness Industrial Hub.”

Governor Makinde assured President Bio and his team of a warm reception throughout their visit to Oyo State.
