TotalEnergies Unveils Modern LubAnac Laboratory In Lagos

TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria PLC has inaugurated its state-of-the-art LubAnac Laboratory in Lagos, further cementing its commitment to delivering advanced lubricant analysis services to industries across Nigeria.

The LubAnac (Lub Analysis Compared) Laboratory is designed to revolutionize oil condition monitoring, offering businesses the ability to extend equipment lifespan, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance strategies. This facility marks a significant advancement for Nigeria’s industrial and automotive sectors, providing precision testing that boosts operational efficiency.

Located in Lagos, the LubAnac Laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technology to analyze engine oils, hydraulic fluids, and industrial lubricants. The laboratory can identify wear metals, contaminants, and oil degradation parameters, allowing businesses to make informed maintenance decisions and avoid costly breakdowns. The system benchmarks measured values against a proprietary algorithm, refined over years of experience and feedback from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and compares these values with statistical references based on historical data for each component type.

Dr. Samba Seye, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria PLC, expressed, “The launch of the LubAnac Laboratory in Lagos reflects our dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction. We aim to offer Nigerian industries the same high-quality lubricant analysis available through our global network, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of machinery and equipment.”

The LubAnac Laboratory is expected to serve various sectors, including Automotive, Manufacturing, Power Generation, Construction, and Mining industries. Aligned with TotalEnergies’ sustainability objectives, the lab promotes predictive maintenance, helping to reduce oil waste and environmental impact. By recommending precise oil change intervals, it enables customers to minimize their carbon footprint while maximizing resource efficiency.

“With this investment, TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria PLC strengthens its position as a leader in the lubricants industry. The LubAnac Laboratory will provide Nigerian businesses with unmatched access to advanced lubricant diagnostics, enabling them to operate more efficiently and cost-effectively,” Seye added.

TotalEnergies has been a prominent player in Nigeria for over 60 years, employing more than 1,800 people across different business segments. The company operates in over 100 countries and serves more than 8 million customers through its global network of 15,000 service stations.

“As the world’s number four in lubricants, we design and sell high-performance products for automotive, industrial, and maritime sectors, and provide the best response to the needs of our B2B customers through our international logistics network and diverse offerings,” Seye concluded.
