‘Take Lie Detector Test’, Omokri Challenges Natasha Over Sexual Harassment Claim
Former presidential media aide Reno Omokri has challenged suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, to undergo a lie detector test to substantiate her recent allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Omokri, in a social media video, recounted a similar accusation made by Natasha against him in 2021, after a dispute between them.
Omokri explained that Natasha had accused him of sexually harassing her during a state banquet at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in May 2014. However, he pointed out that he was not in Nigeria during the period of the alleged incident, as he had traveled to the United States in April 2014 on a diplomatic mission related to the Chibok girls’ abduction. Omokri backed up his claim with passport stamps and flight tickets, proving he was out of the country at the time of the alleged harassment. After he shared this evidence, Natasha deleted her accusations and a subsequent video insulting him and his family.
Omokri highlighted that after this, a prominent Christian clergyman and Emmanuel Oritshejolomi Uduaghan, Natasha’s husband, intervened, and the matter was settled out of court, with Omokri receiving damages.
Now, after Natasha made similar allegations against Senate President Akpabio, Omokri expressed doubts about the validity of her claims, drawing from her past behavior. He stated that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, emphasizing that Natasha’s previous false accusations should raise questions.
Omokri called on Natasha to take a lie detector test before Nigerians can judge Akpabio’s actions, stressing that until she does, her allegations will be considered in light of her history of making false claims.
