2,030,627 Register As JAMB Closes 2025 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially closed the registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with a total of 2,030,627 candidates completing their registration. The exam is scheduled to take place on April 25, 2025.

The registration process, which began on February 3, 2025, has seen a significant number of candidates registering, although this figure does not include those who registered to sit for the examination at foreign centres. Additionally, 200,115 candidates have shown interest in the optional mock UTME, set for April 5, 2025, while 630 candidates have specifically registered for the trial mock examination.

With registration now closed, JAMB has indicated that preparations for the 2025 UTME are in full swing. The board also mentioned that several innovative measures have been implemented this year to combat cheating and ensure the integrity of the examination process. These measures have already led to multiple arrests of candidates attempting to use forged A-level results for admission, underscoring the effectiveness of the new fraud detection systems.

JAMB has advised all candidates to adhere strictly to the examination rules and regulations, cautioning against any dishonest practices during the examination.
