FULL LIST: EFCC Unveils 58 Illegal Ponzi Scheme Operators

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has raised an alarm about 58 companies posing as legitimate investment entities while defrauding Nigerians of their hard-earned money. These companies, according to the EFCC, are operating illegally, with no registration from either the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Both regulatory bodies, in separate correspondences with the EFCC, have confirmed that the companies are not registered with them.

The list of companies flagged by the EFCC includes:

EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed that many of these companies have already been charged to court, with five of them convicted. Five others have pleaded guilty but are awaiting a review of facts, while the remaining companies are still pending arraignment.
