JUST-IN: Tinubu Meets Feuding Lagos Assembly Members

President Bola Tinubu is currently holding a meeting with the members of the Lagos State House of Assembly at the State House in Abuja, on Wednesday evening.

The legislators arrived in two coaster buses earlier on Wednesday and proceeded to the President’s office area to await the meeting. Among the members present were the reinstated Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, as well as the former Speaker and current Deputy Speaker, Hon. Mojisola Meranda.

Hon. Meranda and her colleagues arrived at the meeting around 2:00 PM, while Hon. Obasa arrived separately at about 2:50 PM.

This meeting follows a period of controversy in the Lagos State House of Assembly, where Hon. Obasa was initially impeached as Speaker by a majority of the members. However, he was reinstated after intervention from political leaders in the state, including President Tinubu.

The meeting is currently ongoing as of press time, and further details are expected to be released later.
