PANDEF Pledges Full Support for Senate President Akpabio
The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has expressed its strong support for Senate President Godswill Akpabio, assuring him of the Niger Delta people’s backing.
Speaking at a dinner hosted by Senator Akpabio in honor of elders and leaders from the South-South region, following their courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, PANDEF Chairman Ambassador Godknows Igali emphasized the importance of addressing regional concerns. He stated, “We are here today because it is crucial for us to engage with the President on issues that affect our region.”
Ambassador Igali also highlighted that President Tinubu was receptive to their requests, promising to take action on them. He reiterated the solidarity of the Niger Delta people with Akpabio, saying, “On behalf of the men, women, boys, girls, and the entire people of the Niger Delta region, I assure you that we are solidly behind you.”
In his response, Senator Akpabio thanked the leaders and elders for attending the dinner and expressed his commitment to supporting the President’s initiatives. “We will not take this vote of confidence for granted. We are all one, and we will work tirelessly to ensure the development of the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole,” Akpabio said.
He also promised to continue supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, acknowledging the challenges of leadership but assuring that the unity between the South-South region and the federal government would remain strong.
