Peter Obi Join TikTok To Engage Followers
The Labour Party (LP) presidential flagbearer in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, on Tuesday, disclosed that he has opened a TikTok page to engage netizens.
Obi made the announcement via his X (formerly Twitter) handle with a link to the TikTok page.
LEADERSHIP reports that TikTok is a leading video-centric social media platform. The mobile app is the most popular way to access TikTok, but internet users can also access the web version.
At the time of filing this report, the former Anambra State governor had already gained over 8,000 followers and 4,000 likes on his page @mr.peter.obi.
Obi uploaded a video announcing that it was his only official TikTok account, urging his followers to join him on his quest to build Nigeria.
He said, “This is my official and only TikTok page. Kindly join me towards building a new Nigeria that is possible.”
The former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, also opened his TikTok page four days ago to share his views on Nigerian politics and his new party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
“This is my only and official TikTok page,” he stated. “Please join me for videos, comments and conversations on Nigerian politics, as well as the activities of our new party, Social Democratic Party (SDP). Welcome on board,” he added.
