The Defence Headquarters shared this update through the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Markus Kangye, during a press briefing on Thursday.

Maj.-Gen. Kangye further revealed that 75 rehabilitated terrorists were handed over to the Borno State government as part of ongoing rehabilitation efforts. Additionally, a significant number of terrorists were neutralized during the week.

The 75 rehabilitated individuals include seven adult males, 34 adult females, and 34 children. Between March 10 and 20, 2025, the troops also made significant strides in tackling oil theft, arresting 23 suspected oil thieves and recovering stolen products valued at N461,783,868.00.

In their fight against illegal activities, troops recovered 247,629 liters of stolen crude oil and 198,374 liters of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO). The military also discovered and destroyed 36 crude oil cooking ovens, 42 dugout pits, 28 boats, 33 storage tanks, 65 drums, and 21 illegal refining sites during this period.

Additional recoveries included pumping machines, tricycles, motorcycles, mobile phones, and vehicles. Furthermore, the troops seized several weapons, including AK-47 rifles, locally fabricated guns, Dane guns, pump-action shotguns, locally made pistols, and RPG tubes.
