Tinubu Is A Questionable Character — Sowore

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has labeled President Bola Tinubu as a leader of “questionable character,” emphasizing that there is no room for debate on the matter.

Sowore made these comments on Thursday during a special interview on State of the Nation, a program on LEADERSHIP TV. He was responding to a question about how Nigerians could hold their leaders accountable.

“Nigerians must decide who they want to hold accountable by electing people who they can hold accountable,” Sowore said.

When asked for his opinion on the president’s cabinet, Sowore responded, “What do you expect from someone that is questionable?” He insisted that his assertion regarding President Tinubu’s character was “not debatable.”

Regarding rumors about his past association with Tinubu, the former presidential candidate denied ever being close to the president. He clarified that a widely circulated photograph showing him with Tinubu and the late MKO Abiola was simply due to situational necessity at the time. Sowore explained that he did not enjoy associating with politicians.

“I was never close to him,” Sowore stated. “I was only in that picture with him and MKO Abiola because it was necessary at that point. I was not close to him or anyone.”
