Tinubu To Mark 73rd Birthday With Prayer At Abuja Mosque

Ahead of his 73rd birthday on Saturday, President Bola Tinubu will join Muslim faithful at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday for a special prayer session dedicated to the nation.

A statement released by Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, on Thursday, revealed that the president will use this occasion to express his gratitude to God for His guidance and support in his leadership of the country.

Tinubu’s birthday falls during the holy month of Ramadan and is just two months before the second anniversary of his administration.

Onanuga noted that, “On this significant day, the President will dedicate himself to spiritual reflection and supplication for Nigeria’s continued peace, progress, and prosperity.”

He emphasized that the prayer session reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to Nigeria’s spiritual and moral well-being, highlighting his desire to seek divine guidance, insight, and strength in leading the nation.

“The President believes that collective prayer is a powerful tool for guiding the nation towards progress and harmony,” Onanuga added. He encouraged Nigerians to join in spirit by offering prayers at their places of worship or wherever they may be, reinforcing the unity and shared destiny of the nation.

Tinubu also expressed his deep gratitude to Nigerians for their support and goodwill, as his administration continues to work on advancing economic reforms, strengthening national security, and expanding opportunities for citizens.

“I am deeply thankful to Allah for the gift of life and the privilege to serve this great nation. As I mark another birthday and look forward to our second anniversary, my heart is filled with renewed hope for Nigeria,” Tinubu said.

He called on all citizens to pray for divine guidance, unity, and healing for the country. “Together, we shall overcome challenges and build a nation where every citizen thrives,” he added.

The president reaffirmed his commitment to consolidating Nigeria’s democratic gains, fostering economic recovery, and promoting national cohesion. He also encouraged citizens to remain steadfast in believing in Nigeria’s potential as a beacon of hope in Africa.
