PFN Appoints Archbishop Isong as National Vice President for South-South
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has appointed Archbishop Emmah Gospel Isong, the General Overseer of Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI) in Calabar, Cross River, as its National Vice President for the South-South zone.
A letter dated March 27, 2025, signed by PFN National President Bishop Francis Wale Oke, confirmed Isong’s appointment. The letter, seen by our correspondent, outlined that Isong will be responsible for overseeing PFN executives in the six states of the South-South zone.
“It gives me great pleasure to announce your appointment as National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, South-South Zone,” Bishop Oke said in the letter.
The appointed states include Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River, with the responsibility to ensure the zone aligns with the overarching goals of the PFN.
As National Vice President, Isong will be tasked with overseeing the implementation of the 8th National Executive Council’s Cardinal Agenda in the zone. He will also be responsible for enhancing membership engagement, especially attracting genuine but passive Pentecostals within the region. Additionally, Isong will supervise appointments and elections within the state executive councils and advisory councils of PFN.
In his response, Archbishop Isong expressed gratitude to Bishop Oke, the National Advisory Council, and the National Executive Council for the trust placed in him. He assured them of his commitment to serving diligently in the new role.
Prior to his appointment, Isong served as the immediate past National Publicity Secretary and spokesperson of the Pentecostal body.
