President Tinubu Heads to France for Two-Week Working Visit
President Bola Tinubu is set to depart for Paris, France on Wednesday for a brief, two-week working visit.
In a statement issued by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, it was revealed that the president plans to review his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key achievements during this trip.
“The retreat will allow him to evaluate ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning as the second anniversary of his administration approaches,” the statement noted.
This period of reflection will help shape plans to advance the ongoing reforms and accelerate national development objectives for the upcoming year.
The president’s recent economic accomplishments, particularly the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) report of a dramatic increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion—up from $3.99 billion in 2023—underscore his dedication to strengthening the nation’s fiscal policies.
During his stay in France, Onanuga assured that President Tinubu would remain fully connected with his team and continue to oversee governance activities remotely.
“He is expected to return to Nigeria in approximately two weeks,” the statement concluded.
